The man had been duck hunting when the accident happened as he exited the boat.
While he did this his dog stood on a 12-guage gun shotgun and fired the weapon, directly at the man.
This unloaded 27 pellets of birdshot into his bottom and left him needing to be taken to hospital to have them removed.
